What is FADP?

As a Swiss company, Exoscale has been at the forefront of the data protection regulation if full compliance of the Federal Act of 19 June 1992 on Data Protection since its inception.

In 2020, the Federal Council adopted the new Federal Act on Data Protection Act (FADP), which is expected to enter into force in 2022 and bring data protection law in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The basic principle of the previous Federal Act of 1992 will not change but the new law increase governance requirements such as the need to maintain records of data processing activities and reporting obligations. Exoscale is fully compliant to the GDPR and the coming FADP revision.
